I have decided to offer low-budget production companies very low daily rates and low weapons rental fees for your next film. This policy, which affects any film with a budget of $ 500,000 or less, will give you big-budget movie action scenes. I have always enjoyed the lower budget films and am a very big advocate of TRUE independent film that bypasses the censorship and corporate rules of Hollywood that shut out creative independent film. I have worked as a producer, director (action scenes), special effects coordinator, fight choreographer, actor (since 1977) and, of course, Theatrical Armorer (since 1991), so I am glad to help out with all aspects of your production. Recently, I was associate producer of The Prodigy by F-5 Films, a dark action drama, which will be released later this year.

Frankly, I'm tired of watching lower budget, independent movies that have a decent storyline, good direction, great makeup effects and then has toy guns and no pyros. Many times these producers are filming in little towns across the US and don't know how to get the proper equipment and are not licensed. Sometimes they make the mistake of using live guns borrowed from a hunter or gun collector. This is dangerous as blanks for real guns that are purchased from sporting goods stores will cause injury as well as not having an experienced theatrical armorer on the set. I like the old B science fiction and horror movies of the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60, and 70s. One difference I see with today's low budget horror and sci-fi films is that they lack the weaponry of the older flicks. Often fake guns are used along with poor blood squib effects and poor or no squibbing altogether.

Also, I'm tired of Hollywood taking movie production overseas (runaway film) which has ruined the lives of many who have dedicated many years to making a small amount of people rich in the film industry. It is great to see true independent film companies putting their dreams and ideas on film. I love true independent filmaking without the censorship of Hollywood.
